You will need to have an attention for detail, be proactive, commercially aware, meet deadlines, liaise with people at all levels, work accurately, take responsibility & ownership and respect confidentiality of the staff, the organization and its clients.
Main Responsibilities are
Ensure submitted timesheets are correct, within budget and submitted in a timely manner
Arrange payment of staff through the computerized payroll system
Process new starts & leavers
Provide advice to staff in relation to pay, taxation & national insurance
Ensure that statutory and voluntary deductions are adhered to, e.g. Maternity, Paternity, Sick pay
Assist in preparation with payroll records & reports
Investigate & resolve payroll queries & problems

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous experience in payroll is recommended. Up to date with UK compliance. Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Customer focused approach (internal & external). Must be able to adapt to using several systems. Flexibility & willingness to participate within a diverse working environment. Ability to work under own initiative and demonstrate effective problem solving. Have a good commercial understanding of the business and the impact of areas of failure. Experience: Payroll: 1 year (Preferred)
