Job Description

The developments cover both houses and apartments but are focused on a small plot of first class developments to ensure a premium is enjoyed due to the excellence of design and workmanship.

The business is now looking to appoint a Construction Lead / Director designate. The purpose of this role is to work closely with the existing Board to develop a free-standing construction management business to support the developments of Topco.

Reporting to the CEO of the development business you will be responsible for the establishment of the processes, procedures, control and relationships for the construction company.

As a summary, you will be expected to:-

- Create an overall strategy for the management of the construction business
- Ensure a safe environment for all stake-holders that is compliant with statutory requirements.
- Monitor safety performance through internal audits and develop a proactive reporting system.
- Establish a monthly reporting format to the main board of the construction company that accurately reflects performance to date as well as proactively sets out any future risks and necessary mitigation measures.
- To recruit any requirement for further employees with the right skill set, values and culture to deliver an exceptional service
- Involved in all projects from pre-construction through to delivery

You will be an experienced Construction Manager / Director and have experience of developing and leading a construction management team. Experience in high-end residential development is ideal, but we will also be delighted to consider applications from construction professionals who have worked in other sectors where finish is key such as high end retail / commercial. Your background could be professional practice, consultancy or contractor led.

You will also be business focused and capable of developing a profitable and robust business and team.
