Job Description

This is a 6 month fixed term post or secondment opportunity. You will ensure that an effective and efficient secretarial and administrative service is delivered to the multi-disciplinary team which comprises of Managerial, Psychology, Nursing, and Occupational Therapy staff within adult community mental health services across Glasgow City HSCP. This will include reception duties, data input, record management and general typing. You will work independently much of the time managing calls and emails. You will be required to deal with referrals and enquires through a single point of access and also support the generic functions and duties of the wider administrative team. You will provide a high quality administrative and secretarial service to the Team. Your duties will include general typing and audio typing of correspondence as required. You will manage diary commitments proficiently, to ensure good time management. You will deal with telephone and face-to-face enquiries from all staff groups, patients, relatives, careers providing information, directing and prioritizing queries as appropriate to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You must show competence in the use of range of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualification e.g. ECDL. You must show knowledge of working in an office environment and of operation of office equipment and systems. This may be through formal training or work experience. The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm.
