Leasehold Management Administrator (P1606)

Inclusive Salary range from £26,107 up to £28,367 per year + Car allowance

Plus up to 18.5% employer pension contributions

St Albans is a unique English Cathedral City with a colourful history which can be seen in the Roman remains and variety of beautiful architecture, heritage sites and conservation areas. Set within green belt, off the M25, A1M and M1 the District includes a cathedral, historic city centre and charming villages. Our refurbished offices are in the city centre near to the station (London St Pancras 20 minutes), shops and restaurants. In short it is a great place to live and work.

Our Housing team is responsible for managing and maintaining 5000 properties including sheltered housing, temporary accommodation as well as general needs tenancies. In this post you will provide general administrative support to assist with the management of the council’s 1,054 leasehold property portfolio.

 

This includes maintenance of the leaseholder database on Orchard, dealing with telephone enquiries and following them through to completion whilst keeping the leaseholders appraised at all times. You will also assist with preparation of the service charge invoices, section 20 notices, assisting with arrears collection and advising leaseholders on the range of payment options and sources of advice.

With an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent relevant work experience, you will also have previous experience of working in a people orientated customer support role.

Previous experience of providing a providing a front line service within the social housing sector with demonstrable experience and commitment to high quality customer care is essential for this post.

An excellent communicator, you will also have previous experience of using MSOffice and other IT systems e.g. Orchard Housing System. Post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Check.
