This role is to support the aftercare team with the finishing snags that come up when new home buyers move into their new home. Rectifying defects and carrying out maintenance works that have arisen within occupied properties since completion.
You will be assigned jobs by the Customer care team who will be speaking to the customers, arranging the appointments then sending you the appointment. After this you make contact with the home owner to find out more about the fault / defect to make your visit as efficient as possible.
The faults and defects could be any thing from joinery works (doors, cupboards, Skirting boards etc…) , Plumbing (leaking taps, showers, sinks etc…) or larger issues that you may need to review and report back to the customer service team. This maybe plastering or decorating issues but all of these are worse case issues that you may come across.
Being a in a new home owners house customer service is key, being well presented, taking your boots off and show respect to the property and occupier at all times. You will come across a mix of very understanding owners to people that want everything doing right now in their new home. This is where both your technical knowledge and excellent communication skills are required.
