Job Description

Role Responsibilities include:

  • Management of month end reports covering: database entries during the month, compliance for new clients, debt collection, SRA compliance obligations, social media activity, debt collection and billing activities during the month and financial management of matters including payments on account.
  • Liaison with the various responsible persons to draw together the month end report.
  • Running the practice management system.
  • Manage the out sourced providers for accounting, IT and marketing.
  • Monitoring and controlling debtors including payments on account.
  • Managing incoming telephone calls and the team that handle new enquiries.
  • Managing archiving, incoming/outgoing post and managing clients where we act as the registered office.
  • Staff induction, HR records and management of the appraisal process.
  • Dealing with holiday requests, sickness and diary management. 
  • On-going training for staff on better use of the IT systems.
  • Responsible for ongoing monitoring and relationship management of building facilities including maintenance, photocopying and printing, stationery suppliers, cleaning services and archives / record keeping.
  • Negotiation with suppliers for better terms and performance.
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative and manage juniors.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • MUST have worked within a solictors firm
  • Experience within a Commercial Law environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to retain high levels of concentration
  • Able to work to a very high standard within a pressurised environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Capable of taking initiative, developing solutions and improving processes
