You will take ownership of a large, varied portfolio of clients and hold responsibility for audit and accounts staff. Working closely with the Directors, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate a strong awareness of client care and continuous improvement whilst playing an integral role at management level.
What will the day to day look like?
- Overseeing a portfolio of audit and accounts clients whilst proactively identifying, researching and resolving issues as they arise
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and charities
- Leading and supervising junior team members in the ‘fieldwork’ stage of larger audits
- Delegating workflow, reviewing work and providing proactive training to junior team members
- Ensuring all compliance requirements are met and maintained
- Providing clients with advice on day-to-day accounting transactions and appropriate accounting treatment
- Maintaining relevant knowledge of best practice and processes across finance and accounting functions for UK businesses across a variety of sectors
- Ensuring ongoing awareness of fee targets and level of work in progress
