Job Description

You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement by visiting depots and collaborating with Depot management teams to deliver improvements through achievable solutions and recommendations.
You will own the production and maintenance of bespoke depot MI reports and analyze the data provided by the BI team, as well as challenging on any inaccuracies in reports.
This is a key role to ensure the Depot Network has an insightful and accurate reporting provision whilst sharing best practice to achieve the key depot KPIs and standardization.
The aim of this role is to be the MI expert for the key drivers behind the Depot operations, and play a key role in improvement of the Depot KPIs and financial performance through offering insights, and direct support to depots where appropriate.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide specific and consistent high quality reports on MI across the Depot Network on trends and challenges on the key KPI metrics and financial reporting
Provide recommendations on report design ensuring that there are no inaccuracies within the reporting, whilst actively working to improve consistency across the reporting suite.
Ensure that analysis activity and day to day tasks undertaken are in line with the latest GDPR legislation and the use of personal data is fully compliant
Build relationships with and collaborate with depot management teams as well as the Tactical Team to provide solution based recommendations, track performance and improvements and share best practice with the network. This will require travel to depots to identify solutions.
To deputies for the Client and Network Distribution analyst when required to maintain the depot and hub KYN league tables.
Analysis of the business data to understand parcel efficiency, increase effectiveness, and optimize parcel cost per unit delivered.
You will need creativity and attention to detail to deliver solutions that will change the current understanding of our network efficiency by demonstrating improvements identified as in scope using process mapping and quantify savings and implementation plans.
Analysis of the cost performance across the network and providing the Head of Depot Operations with a weekly overview on areas of concern and trends, as well as identifying success and best practice.
You will be responsible in building strong working relationships with peers across the Hermes network both within operations and support functions such as the BI team and Finance. You will need to demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain relationships as this is key to ensuring a close working relationship with the management teams across all business areas and throughout the UK distribution network, to improve performance and develop SLAs.
Assist on new and existing projects as appropriate


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Understands the business landscape and the connection between the corporate boardroom strategy, KPI themes and operational performance control data / reporting. Experience in report production and working to set timescales and deadlines is preferred. Strong problem solving skills / communicator. Investigates problems to establish real or hidden causes and solve complex problems with creative solutions. Experience or good understanding of an operational environment and familiarity with standard work procedures. Strong knowledge of MS Excel with high level of numerical ability and problem solving. Professional attitude and aptitude to learn new skills/ software. Demonstrate a flexible approach and be adaptable to the changing needs of the Depot operations.
