Job Description

1. Support SSEN Transmissions involvement with long term commercial policy reform across the industry

2. Assessing reform proposals for impacts on the business and its stakeholders and communicating that with relevant parties (Ofgem, National Grid ESO, other Transmission Owners, Distribution Network Operators and demand and generation customers.)

3. Generating and acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, quality checking data to ensure that accurate reports are issued with any data integrity issues resolved and interrogation and challenge of data sources as required.

4. Work with stakeholders across industry to understand their impacts through better understanding of their business cases. Communicate those impacts and identify associated positions.

5. Maintain and use effective business controls, reporting and governance arrangements for SSEN Transmission' Commercial Policy Positions. Working across the business, support development of frameworks by identifying business performance improvements and develop suitable solutions. Working with internal and external stakeholders, develop, test, document and implement business improvement measures.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have: 1. Well-developed experience of the various analytical and organizational techniques for business and commercial analysis. 2. Understanding of TNUoS and DUoS charging models and CBA and Knowledge of business governance and reporting structures. 3. In depth experience in carrying our research and analysis, seeking and using data from multiple sources. Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capability with ability to handle and analyze large quantities of data and information. 4. Good communication skills, in both written and verbal methods, to engage with technical, financial and engineering specialists to gather, discuss and deliver relevant information. 5. Proficient in creating performance frameworks that monitor changes across the relevant commercial policy forums. Proficient user of MS Office with advanced knowledge of Excel and similar analytical tools.
