Job Description

The analyst will also provide hands-on support for continuous improvement initiatives and support a range of operational transition activities, as these evolve over the next twelve months. This will involve the analyst working closely with the existing cash allocation teams who are using the legacy operating system.

The second phase of the role will be performing the new processes and controls to manage customer payments on the new platform; working through a transition period across the legacy and new systems and then embedding the new ways of working.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience in working in a high-volume cash and banking process environment, managing customer receipts and/or supplier payments. Good systems experience, ideally having been involved in implementation or upgrade projects. Experience in interacting with the bank and third-party payment processors. Strong reconciliation and analytical skills, and able to resolve issues and anomalies. Good general accounting knowledge, including double entry and accruals concept. Experience in financial and systems controls and governance. Experience in managing audit requirements. Proficient in using all MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to make a positive impact in a cross-functional environment Utilities experience is useful but not essential. Commitment to delivering outstanding and personalized customer service. Track record for innovative and sustainable problem-solving.
