Job Description

• To own the trading P&L and Balance Sheet accounting for one of our trading divisions, ensuring the monthly results are recorded completely, accurately and in line with the reporting deadlines.
• Provide insightful analysis of the P&L and Balance Sheet on a monthly basis for senior management.
• Identify and implement process improvements and enhance reporting to key stakeholders and lead on the integration of acquisitions into the core accounting systems.
• Manage the relationship with the offshore support team to deliver process efficiencies for the accounting function.
• Prepare and provide complex lead schedules for audit purposes, detailed analysis and providing well thought out solutions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

A University degree and ACCA/CA/CIMA qualified with at least 2 years’ experience. Strong technical accounting skills are essential. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is vital. Experience working in Financial Services management insurance would be especially useful, as would previous experience of US GAAP. Flexible, happy to deal with multiple tasks and environments within our international organization. Highly organized and dedicated with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills in all formats. Happy to work independently and also perform as part of an effective team.
