Job Description

Tasks and activities

  • To work closely with the business, IT and third party software houses to specify and deliver user requirements for the Team.
  • To produce test scripts, co-ordinate and complete user acceptance testing of system enhancements
  • To work closely with the business to ensure that changes are supportable from an operational perspective.
  • To produce the necessary documentation outlining the plan, objectives and benefits.
  • Document clear and testable business requirements and functional design specifications.
  • To deliver on any other dependencies which are deemed within your remit as change progresses.
  • Where relevant, to specify, develop, document and provide ongoing support for tools used to streamline business processes.
  • To collate, produce and refine required Management Information for required periods.
  • Complete tasks assigned in relation to the Valuations Team; including Valuation Processing (VP) application, report generation /analysis and handling queries.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of batch valuations.

Client Servicing

  • Ensure that all dealings with internal / external clients are conducted professionally and that requests are dealt with in a timely and effective manner and takes responsibility to resolve
  • Actively seek to improve operational capabilities of the team with a view to achieving servicing efficiencies
  • Promote knowledge sharing and a unified approach within the team in order to improve the level of service provision
  • Provide technical advice to assist in resolving issues or queries which arise within the Valuations Team

Team Support

  • Support and provide cover for other members of the team and wider department
  • Assist with training new recruits to the team in BAU activities, acting as a positive role model
  • Contribute to documenting team procedures, periodically reviewing and updating them
  • Attend and contribute to internal team meetings and raise relevant issues with your line manager.

Regulatory & Risk Management

  • Ensure that fair treatment of clients is at the forefront of all activities and that all interactions are conducted in an open and transparent manner
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the firms’ regulatory framework and how this applies to your role.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the risks to clients within their operation and how these will be mitigated
  • Demonstrate an understanding and application of the Group's Conduct Risk Framework

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Relevant professional qualifications e.g. CISI Investment Operations Certificate desirable but not essential. Experience in Financial Services is desirable but not essential. User Acceptance Testing and writing test scripts. Strong relationship-building and communication skills. Processing large volumes of data. Ability to work flexibly and under pressure. Ability to assimilate information quickly and act on it. To demonstrate a proactive, confident and questioning approach. Excellent planning and organizing skills. Can adopt a suitable approach for dealing with a wide range of people. Advanced excel including ability to design & develop Macros. Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office packages such as PowerPoint & Access.
