Job Description
To provide effective and efficient central Administrative, IT and Finance support to the Head of Fundraising.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of services to the Fundraising team, ensuring effective reporting to the Head of Fundraising as appropriate
- Responsible for providing high standards of customer care.
- To act in accordance with the values and aims of Housing for Women
- To promote and implement Housing for Women’s policies and procedures
Key result areas
Administrative/logistic support to the Head of Fundraising and fundraising function:
- Drafting and modifying letters and other documents as necessary
- Support the team in answering telephones and taking messages
- Develop and maintain electronic and hard copy fundraising filing system
- Maintain administrative systems and update as necessary
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, agendas, appointments and travel arrangements for the team as required
- Record, compile, transcribe and distribute minutes of meetings
- Collect, record and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
- Researching and purchasing of items required by staff in the Refuges
- Coordinating the statistical returns and reports for commissioners and funders
Finance and administrative support to the Ealing DVA services team in liaison with the Ealing Manager:
- Reviewing residents accounts
- Assisting DVA services team with administrative tasks
- Assisting DVA services team to prepare information for Head Office including voids information
Other duties
- Manage and support small fundraising related projects as required from time to time.
- To attend meetings, conferences, courses and training sessions as deemed necessary.
- Undertake all duties in accordance with the Association’s policies and procedures.
- Undertake any other duties as required by the Head of Fundraising.
No job description can be entirely comprehensive, and the post holder will be expected to carry out such duties as may be required from time to time and are broadly consistent with the job description.
The job description will be subject to annual review in the light of the project’s development.

Experience and qualifications
- Strong administrative background
- Customer service experience.
- Experience working for a non-profit organisation.
- Advance level of IT (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience of developing and maintaining filing systems.
- Good general standard of numeracy and literacy.
Skills
- Strong ‘people skills’ for building relationships with team members, colleagues and key contacts.
- High standard of written and oral communication skills.
