Job Description

The role is largely focused on defining the businesses informatics requirements and to ensure the data that supports those requirements is collated, structured and sourced correctly. This role is a 12-month Fixed-Term contract, with potential to become permanent. The company are currently going through a digital transformation and are needing a Data Analyst to help streamline the business processes and sort their data.

They operate across a number of countries and are in the process of reviewing all of the business services offerings. This role is sitting within the IT function and you will be an experienced Business or Data Analyst, ideally with experience of successful project delivery across a larger scale, professional services organization.

They are looking for someone who has a strong data background and ideally working with large volumes of finance data. You will be working on a specific finance data project and part of the role will include defining ways to clean up existing data and supporting the implementation of governance to protect the integrity of what the organization develops.

The company you will be joining are undertaking large scale business change and there is plenty of work to be done now and moving forward. They are ideally looking for someone to start no later than one months' time, and you will be getting your hands dirty from day one. They treat their employees extremely well and have continued to hire through Covid-19.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Work with key stakeholders and the Data Governance team to define a 'common language for data' (data definitions / taxonomy), so that data across the firm can be interpreted and used consistently and efficiently for required purposes. Define, design and deliver data models that describe data ecosystems. Work with the Head of Data and the Head of Architecture to ensure that the methodologies used to perform this role follow their recommendations. Experience in conceptual or logical data modelling. Experience developing a 'common language for data', including data dictionaries, data vocabularies or taxonomies. Strong skills in the development of Data Flow Diagrams, Data Models. Experience of Digital projects.
