Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the executive team of a leading Food Importer supplying major retailers and foodservice customers who are going through continued year on year growth with further expansion expected of over 20% across the next 12 months.

Key Duties;

• Oversee, review, plan, analyze and adhere to the budgets and amendments to monthly forecasts.
• Preparation of Year end, monthly management board packs, projections, month end reconciliations, etc.
• Maintain the financial quality and integrity of the ledgers, with reference to balance sheet reconciliations, accurate reporting of profit and loss and cash flow movement.
• Supervise financial team in the facilitation of day-to-day operations.
• Monitoring of fx control and liaise with key management on forward purchase strategy.
• Invoice Finance / Import Loans / OD / L/C
• Dealing with retailers / customers / suppliers where required on any finance matters.
• Understanding of the business needs and ability to take commercial view (rather than just focused on the numbers)
• Strong knowledge and experience of working with Import Duties / Taxation / VAT / Freight
• Full understanding and support on costing system and methodology
• Manage audit services to ensure financial information is up to date.
• Ensure that all the company's financial practices are in line in statutory regulations and legislation.

The position has become available due to the present incumbent due to take retirement after a lengthy and successful time with the business.
