Procurement Contract Manager

Job Description
Responsible for the management of all aspects of contract delivery and performance throughout the contract life cycle.
Procurement packages are established and may be at pre contract or delivery phase. Contract managers will be responsible for procurement packages within the following categories:
- Complex power and propulsion systems or equipment
- Modified systems or equipment
- Equipment parts (complex, modified and cots)
- Build consumables
- Commodities (raw materials)
Applications are invited from Contract Managers experienced in delivery of similar contracts preferably in defense or similar industry e.g. automotive, aerospace for current and future vacancies.
Responsibilities
End to end Contract Management in line with procurement and category strategies:
- Sourcing process
- Supplier selection
- Bid tending and evaluation
- Price negotiation
- Contract mobilization
- Management of contract life cycle
- On time delivery performance of product and associated documentation
- Cost account management
- Right first time quality performance
- Working to programme schedule
- Dispute resolution with suppliers
- Contract closure
Additional Key Accountabilities:
- Supplier and stakeholder management
- Maintaining supplier regulatory compliance documentation
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Sourcing. Contracting and legal environment. Negotiation. Supplier management and measurement. Risk and opportunity management. Financial spend management. Life cycle management. Experience of managing a range of direct procurement packages, commodities or equipment in a defense or similar industry e.g. automotive, aerospace. Technical and commercial skills in relation to supply chain processes and activities. Project Management within Supply Chain. Ability to implement Contract Management Strategies. CIPS qualification desirable.
