Job Description

The Financial Analyst will be a key function within the Finance team, working with the Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial/performance reporting and analysis across the whole business. The role will have high visibility across all teams and exceptional service levels will be expected to help provide valuable commercial insight and support to internal customers.

General duties/responsibilities will revolve around Commercial analysis; including, but not limited to…

  • Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly Firm KPI reporting
  • Financial Analysis based on Monthly Accounts
  • Assisting with annual business plan preparations and re-forecasting
  • Assisting with month end reporting
  • Capex Project returns, ROI, cost/benefits analysis
  • Marketing Spend Analysis – detailed customer return and ROI ensuring all spend is effective
  • Client / Demographic / Geographic Analysis
  • Product Pricing Analysis
  • External Market Analysis of Industry and performance of key competitors
  • Executive Level Summary reports required for all of the above

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The following skills and qualifications are deemed essential: Degree in Math, Accountancy, Economics or Business. Experience in preparing Management Accounts, as the successful. candidate will be expected to assist in Management Accounts preparation and cover. End user experience of Microsoft PowerBI. Experience in producing dashboards linked to business KPIs and insights via data analysis. Advanced Excel user. Ability to understand the inter-relationships of data across systems Ability to extract and analyze multiple sources of data. Commercial finance experience. Demonstrable experience in a financial/data analyst role. A professional accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA) would be an advantage. Experience of SQL would be advantageous.Education: Bachelor's (preferred) Experience: Financial analysis: 2 years (preferred)
