The Financial Controller will have the following responsibilities;
Responsible for ensuring the accurate and timeous production of Daily, Weekly and Monthly Financial Reports including
Daily Key Performance Indicators Reports
Weekly Flash Profit and Loss Account Report
Monthly Management Accounts Pack
Producing Year End Statutory accounts
Manage all of the day to day aspects of the finance function including
Sales and Invoicing
Weekly and Monthly Payroll
Costing and Variance Analysis
Journal Posting and Reconciliations
Prepare/review the annual budgets and play a leading role in developing and maintaining the 5 year business plan
Play a key role in driving Acre’s process of Continual Improvement
As a member of the company's senior management team, help set and achieve business goals, driving future growth and profitability.
To effectively manage the company's Finance Department
Recruit, manage, train and motivate direct reporting staff according to company procedures, policy and employment law.
Ensure all relevant taxes are correctly calculated, accounted for and paid over to the relevant authorities (e.g. VAT, Duty, PAYE, NIC, CIS (if appropriate), Corporation Tax
Responsible for the company payroll, ensuring this is processed accurately and to the required deadlines and subsequently complete the reporting and administration cycle.
Responsible for the management of the company credit control function
Overall responsibility for the Purchase ledger function of the company and payment of suppliers.
Lead and manage ad-hoc project work as appropriate.
Any other duties as required from time to time relating to the overall role.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful candidate must have the following: Qualified Accountant (ICAS/ ACCA/ CIMA). Excellent knowledge of ERP and other business systems. Advanced Excel user with excellent MS Office skills. Excellent problem-solving & project management skills. Proven leadership and ability to drive a team. Analytical and methodical approach, attention to detail. Exceptional communication skills (written & oral). Education: Bachelor's (preferred) Experience: Finance Manager / Financial Controller: 5 years (required)
