The ability to take control of the finance function quickly and effectively is essential and though taking on commercial and strategic responsibilities will not be required from day one, this will be an option if you have the experience to do so. Alternatively, the successful candidate may begin to take on these responsibilities over time, under the guidance of the CEO who is the former FD and a member of ICAS.
Taking charge of the finance team, you will oversee three direct reports while initially establishing a familiarity with business as usual in the first instance. This will include;
· Overseeing the finance department with three direct reports,
· Production of monthly management accounts, annual budgets and supporting management meetings,
· Liaising with the payroll provider and point of contact on audit,
· Managing work in progress, monitoring project costs, and communicating relevant developments,After getting up to speed with the accounting systems and processes the successful candidate will be empowered to begin implementing incremental improvements to systems and processes, as necessary.
