Job Description

Lead a small team to help drive the transformation of accounting systems introduced by Making Tax Digital - a key change programme.
Provide accountancy requirements to HMRC change and transformation projects to ensure accurate accounting is achieved in the Financial Statements.
Working with the other accountants in the wider team to provide expert technical accountancy advice to associated teams, including the project and accounts production teams.
Desirable criteria
- Good IT skills (WORD and Excel skills)
- Experience of using SAP;
- Experience of IT systems development;
- Experience of accounts preparation
- Public sector finance experience.
- Experience in leading and managing a team Qualifications Full Professional Accountancy qualification e.g.:
ACCA,
CIMA,
CIPFA
or ICAEW qualified. Behaviours

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- A professional CCAB qualification in accountancy e.g. CIPFA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA - demonstrable strong track record, with a high level of experience of delivery in an accountancy role - experience of working with modern accounting IT systems; - a solid understanding of accounting standards; - experience in accounts preparation; - the ability to communicate with different partners and report writing skills; - the ability and experience to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical partners; - experience of dealing with multiple partners across the business.
