Job Description

The Research Services and Data Access team facilitate safe and secure access to data for researchers from government departments and academic institutions. This role will support the division in delivering a professional service to researchers using the Secure Research Service (SRS). This is an exciting time to join the team, as not only will you be part of a supportive, engaged team, you’ll be building successful working relationships with team members, key internal and external stakeholders that improve the value of SRS services provided. SRS technology is currently being updated and the team is expanding to manage increased demand for our services.

This customer focused role will include providing administrative support to researchers accessing the SRS, liaising with customers and stakeholders to ensure the best possible service is delivered. The post will benefit from attention to detail and a customer focused attitude. The candidate will be provided full trainingand support in the role.
 

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the team working within the SRS
  • Provide Service Desk cover on a rota basis between 8am and 5pm Monday – Friday
  • Consider and suggest ideas for improvements, sharing this feedback with others in a constructive manner.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to new developments and processes that are introduced.

  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing across organisational, technical and political boundaries, understanding the context.
  • Focuses on the outcome and understands that all steps in a process must add value.
