Job Description

We are a large team of friendly pharmacy staff looking for someone with good communication and organizational skills to provide comprehensive and effective clerical and administrative support in our service. You will deal with routine day to day enquiries within the pharmacy department and be a point of reference for clerical officer’s routine work. You will work with the Administrative & Clerical Team Leader and be responsible for handling personal and sensitive information, organizing meetings, managing diaries and the recording and preparation of standard documentation for authorization e.g. Payroll and finance documentation, workforce information and purchase orders. You will also be responsible for the accurate inputting of clinical/non clinical data which may include outcome of attendance and onward referral, the typing of letters, correspondence and other documents when required. The post also involves maintenance of electronic data storage systems and an efficient up to date effective filing system which may include retrieval of files from offsite storage, and/or files from other NHS departments, complying with the Data Protection Act. Other duties will include ordering of stationery, leaflets and resources etc. attending departmental meetings, preparing agendas, recording minutes and distributing accordingly.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The following experience and skills are required: ECDL or equivalent proficient in all Microsoft packages. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good planning and organization skills. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to work with little supervision. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to prioritize workload. Ability to work to deadlines.
