The North London Partners Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service is a community mental health service for pregnant and postnatal women with severe and complex mental illness. The aim of the team is to detect, prevent and treat perinatal mental health problems to improve the experience of pregnancy and the first year postpartum for women and their families.
Camden & Islington Mental Health Foundation Trust provides specialist perinatal mental health services across the boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield. Haringey and Islington. The service is delivered operationally by three sub-teams divided as follows;
Each of these sub-teams has a staff base and the applicant will be expected to travel between sites regularly in a timely manner.
The administration team is made up of six full time band 4 administrators in addition to this post. The successful applicant will provide line management to the administration team. The established clinical MDT includes Consultant Psychiatrists, Clinical Lead Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Social Worker, Family Therapist, Nursery Nurses and Peer Support Workers.
The post holder will have responsibility for the overall management, development and implementation of high-quality administration and site support services for the community perinatal service. He/she will have responsibility for ensuring the continued operational management of a team of administrative staff based at three sites across North Central London. The post holder will work closely with the Operational Service Manager to ensure appropriate standards in documentation and process so that the administration service can best support clinical colleagues. The post-holder will be expected to contribute to improving systems and processes.
The post-holder will need to demonstrate a high level of prioritising and organisational skills and be able to use initiative to develop office support systems as required, and to organise their own workload to meet Trust and local requirements. The job will involve liaison between colleagues at all levels, both inside and outside the Trust, as well as with service users and carers.
A range of previous administration and management experience is essential. Experience of working within the NHS, particularly in mental health community services is desirable but not essential. Use of a car is desirable but not essential.
