Estates Services are responsible for delivering this programme and with a vacancy arising, we require to recruit a talented and enthusiastic Building Surveyor with good IT skills to join our multi-disciplinary operations team.
Reporting to the Senior Building Surveyor within the Fabric Maintenance section, you will be responsible for the delivery of range of minor project and maintenance works, undertake statutory and maintenance inspections and identification of work schedules, prepare scope and tender documents, produce cost estimates, issue tenders and manage the delivery of a range of projects and reactive repair works. Assist with the administration and management of Framework and Measured term contracts.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

We are seeking to recruit someone with first class communication skills and previous Project Management experience and have a sound knowledge of planned maintenance, building construction and current health and safety legislation. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of interesting and innovative projects in partnership with the academic community. You should have a Surveying or Construction Management background with extensive relevant experience.
