Job Description

To co-ordinate and control site admin, resources, direct labor and subcontractors in line with agreed project programme and specification. Ensuring that all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements are achieved.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Project Site Manager will be site based 100% of the time but there will be time spent in head office or for project lead-in.
Majority of working day is planned by the PSM working in line with the programme with the ability to react to unplanned site issues.

Responsibilities

• Daily management of all sub-contractors activities in line with the construction programme
• Daily management of GHI operatives in line with construction programme
• Management of all site induction and ensuring compliance with site specific restrictions
• Quality inspections of all installations throughout project
• Procurement of GHI materials and sundries
• Health & Safety for all activities on site

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must have completed: SMSTS, CSCS Registered, First Aider, Driving License, Asbestos Awareness. Must know: Health & Safety Awareness. Working at Height regulations. Knowledge and understanding the methodology of Risk Assessments and Method Statements including Temporary Works. Programme Awareness. Quality / Delivery Awareness. Trade Skills Awareness. Must be able to demonstrate: Organizational skills for self and others. Ability to lead manage and develop individuals and teams using effective feedback techniques. Ability to motivate people to deliver stretching targets to desired quality standards. Ability to encourage innovation across teams by listening individuals and supporting them develop their ideas. Effective communication skills in managing and sharing information for site and management teams.
