Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Senior Contract Manager who will focus on providing the necessary pre and post contract procurement and commercial services within the team aligned to company. The role will be specifically aligned to the development of Low Carbon Thermal project developments in Carbon Capture and CCGT Power Generation.

Reporting to the Procurement & Commercial Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of procurement strategies, commercial management and administration of contracts to ensure successful delivery in accordance with all internal policies and procedures such as the Procurement Manual, Commercial Manual and the LCP Governance Framework Manual. Supports the delivery of departmental KPIs and objectives such as savings in total cost of ownership, value engineering and safety performance.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
We are looking for candidates to be commercially aware & highly numerate with highly developed contract drafting and writing skills, who can analyze and interpret numerical data and set out clear risk and mitigation approaches. Ideally, you will have experience gained from consultancy and complex, high value construction contracts with a knowledge of NEC3, FIDIC, LOGIC or IChemE standard forms of contract. Excellent IT skills are essential including knowledge of all MS Office application, e-tendering systems and purchase ledger systems such as Oracle. You will possess the ability to work to tight deadlines, under pressure whilst still delivering quality output and be able to priorities requirements as necessary. Attention to detail as well as the ability to work through a demanding workload is also essential. You will require to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders and have the ability to influence and negotiate with those outside your own sphere of responsibility. Working knowledge of the relevant conditions of contract, along with experience in estimating, cost and budget management, contract administration, payment and expenditure management is essential, ideally gained in a comparable industry.
