Job Description

We offer consistent and progressive delivery of global rigid pipeline systems, through locally tailored solutions, automation and strategic supply chain partnerships.

We take ownership of full pipeline delivery including welding, inspection, insulation, corrosion coatings and installation. The Estimating Lead will be responsible for ensuring that their section of the company tender is accurate, concise and competitive to support the global business in achieving successful award and execution of our projects.

Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities

• Accountable for producing tender estimating deliverables to an agreed timetable for all company work scopes.
• Ensure that all cost estimates are approved by us management and delivered in line with the our BMS process.
• Take a leading role in managing the regional interface, ensuring that the timeline and deliverables from the company are clearly understood.
• Co-ordinate the tender review cycle, supporting the Package Lead in executing the management approval and handover process.
• Deliver fit for purpose costing as standard unless otherwise agreed, promoting a culture of MCO within the tendering team.
• Ensure that all estimates are financially accurate and measured against appropriate benchmarks.
• Deliver all estimates required by the us Early Engagement team to support the regional WIN strategy for global rigid pipe lay activities.
• Maintain a track record of all tendered data, to support the management analysis/forecasting and tender benchmarking.
• Support the regional tendering team post tender delivery, to ensure that internal or external feedback is addressed in a concise and accurate manner.
• Manage the handover of any awarded project estimates to the companyCost Controllers.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Estimating Lead would preferably have at least a bachelor’s degree in an area such as economics, mathematics, building science, statistics, construction management, production management, accounting, finance or engineering. Consideration will also be given to candidates with a degree in another relevant area, or suitably qualified through experience. Excellent workload management. Strong organizational skills.
