Job Description

The positions objective is to assist the Project Management team to deliver all the Site Key
Initiatives / Projects on time and within scope. The primary function of the Project Engineer will be to take the lead when instructed or required on projects of a Small to Medium nature working within the site and the network to deliver projects as per the timelines and budgets set. The Project Engineer will also when required assist the Project managers to deliver on more complex projects and mentor and assist the other engineers and functions within the site and network by assisting and imparting knowledge to the wider team.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Project Manager to deliver complex multi-functional projects on time and on schedule
• Support delivery of expansion projects within all functions across the site.
• Collaborate and share best practice and knowledge across functions and the networks
• Provide support, guidance and knowledge to all functional groups
• Drive continuous improvement throughout the site and assist in the completion and planning of capital projects to deliver change.
• Work closely with the Project team to resolve quality / design / construction related issues
• Direct the design / engineering contractor / vendor as needed
• Work with Project Management group to continuously improve the project management process to improve the execution of projects across the site
• Develop and manage Key Performance Indicators
• Execute Project Change process and monitor Project Risks
• Develop Project Specific Process to support the delivery of future projects

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree or higher in technical / scientific discipline. The Project Engineer should have a good working knowledge of engineering / design process. Experience working within a manufacturing / construction / engineering environment. Experience in leading and successfully completing small to medium sized projects. Experience supporting the delivery of large sized projects. Experience in the co-ordination of multi-discipline teams. Experience of involvement in the technical aspects of the delivery of engineering / site expansion projects. High ethical standards to support a professional business code of conduct.. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with and positively influence leadership and all levels of the organization. Great communicator, including solid written, oral and presentation-giving skills. Result driven. Team player.
