Semi Senior / Senior Accountant - Biggleswade

AJ Chambers are working with an established firm of chartered accountants, with over 80 years’ experience and over 60 staff of tax and accounting professionals.

With multiple offices across Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire, they are looking to recruit a semi-senior / senior to join their Biggleswade office.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ accounts experience in a practice environment.

Responsibilities will include:

• Accounts preparation and review, for sole traders, partnerships, and SME limited companies for subsequent partner review
• Preparation and review of corporation tax computations and returns
• Preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns
• Provision of support to junior members of the team, where necessary
• Preparation of VAT Returns
• Ad hoc preparation of management accounts
• Involvement in audit engagements
• Assisting with statutory work and filings

Position requirements:

• Relevant qualification desirable, but not essential.
