Job Description
The successful candidate for this 'System Accountant' position will join the finance team and need to be self-motivated and maximise the functionality of the ERP Finance system.
Key responsibilities for this 'System Accountant' role:
- Identify, scope and propose future development needs for an existing finance system.
- Effectively plan and deliver improvement projects for the finance system.
- Liaise with other departments to determine the different requirements of the system.
- Complete testing and implementing the changes to the system.
- Ensure the finance systems documentation is maintained and up to date.
- Support with user training requirements and user guides.
- Provide ad-hoc support on other finance projects as required.
'System Accountant' knowledge, skills and experience required:
- Experienced with managing financial systems. To include improving, streamlining, and implementing systems.
- Knowledge of IFRS as well as Financial processes, Accounting Regulations and International Standards
- Strong experience with ERP finance modules, preferably IFS Apps9
- Hands-on experience of system data control, workflows, process transactions in finance modules
- Advanced Excel skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, time management and organizational skills
- Fully Qualified Accountant
- Experience in SQL or other IFS modules would be beneficial
