Job Description

We are seeking Assistant Flood Risk Consultants to join our fast-growing Water Risk Management and Engineering team providing water engineering services for us from our offices in Glasgow.

A typical week would include:

• Being an integral part of the national team providing support both locally within Scotland and around the country.
• Helping with the delivery of local authority flood risk projects locally and nationally in conjunction with the wider team.
• Helping to deliver highway and rail projects both nationally and internationally.

Our projects range in size from smaller local authority development to large scale national projects including those delivered by Highways England, Network Rail and HS2. We also lead the provision of airport drainage services within company working on schemes globally.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful candidates should be working towards achieving Chartered status with CIWEM or the ICE and have technical expertise and experience in one or more of the following areas: Environmental Impact and Water Framework Directive assessment; Flood Risk Assessment; Hydrology; Fluvial hydraulic modelling (ICM, Flood Modeler, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS); River engineering and scour assessment; Sustainable foul and surface water drainage design. Experience of working with local authorities and rail/highway projects would be highly advantageous.
