Job Description

Responsible for implementing and maintaining the quality plan and QMS at site.

Responsibilities:

Develops the construction quality plan, and project-specific Inspection and test plans identifying the oversight / surveillance / monitoring / document review roles to be implemented on each construction discipline.


 


Supervises, coordinates, and monitors all site inspection activities, Non Destructive Evaluations (NDEs), Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs). The NDE shall only be performed by qualified field inspectors. The NDEs are included in the subcontractor’s Scope of Work.
Interacts and works to resolve client quality-related issues. Construction QA/QC can stop any nonconforming work at site, as well as ensure and implement necessary Corrective Actions (CA) and preventive measures.

Responsible for the safekeeping and compiling of all quality records at site and will coordinate compilation of the construction dossiers by Construction staff and/or construction subcontractors.
Accountabilities:

  • Reports to Quality Control Manager.
  • Supports Project Manager and PMO team in development, validation, and integrity of a quality plan and quality control reporting data for the project.
  • Supports Quality Control Manager in development and governance of the Programme reporting data.
  • Supports BAE Central QA Function in implementing and discharging business Quality Management requirements across SRP.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
SC clearance or the ability to attain it. UK national. Barrow 40 hours a week, 5 days a week. T&S will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Good communication skills, build and maintain effective relationships with multiple stakeholders. Ability to work independently and to be proactive. Relevant and demonstrable experience in their field. Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in a suitable engineering or science subject. Chartered Membership of a Professional Institute is an advantage. Have broad knowledge and understanding across a range of nuclear power plant engineering issues.
