. We are passionate about craftsmanship, people, quality and sustainability, as well as doing what we can to look after the planet.
We make RTD (Ready-to-Drink) nitro cold brew coffees and teas, barista Oat M*lk and barista-standard cartons for home consumption. Our products are equally at home in the aisles of a major retailer and behind the bar at the best coffee shops around the world. The only constant is that all our products are 100% plant based with no added sugar.
Our company is rapidly expanding and we’re achieving record sales figures each quarter. We have strong global distribution networks in place and are confident that our business and brand will continue to grow.
We’re now looking for a Management Accountant to join our friendly team and run our UK numbers.
The perks
- Salary of up to £60,000 per annum DOE
- Bonus subject to company and individual performance
- Home working options (with at least three days per week in the office when COVID allows)
- Refreshments from our product range and plant-based lunches when you’re in the office
- A paid day each year to engage in activism – be that for environmental, animal or social justice
- Go on an exciting ride with a passionate team
This is a brilliant opportunity to develop an engaging career with a company that is carving out their own path and experiencing continued success as a result.
We’re independently owned, which means we’re able to stay true to our values. Sustainability is something that we prioritise as we continue to grow, and after extensive carbon auditing, we are very close to becoming both Carbon Neutral and B-Corp Certified, which means we uphold the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility.
If you join our team, you can rest assured that you’ll be a part of a business that is trying to better the planet for everyone, not just ourselves.
The part you’ll play in the Minor Figures team
As our Management Accountant, you will primarily oversee our UK numbers and ensure that our data is accurate. Joining a fast-paced environment, you’ll take a hands-on role where your work will have a direct impact on our business and continued growth.
Reporting to our Group FD, you will:
- Generate weekly and monthly numbers on a timely basis
- Make sure that all transactional data is processed in a timely manner
- Monitor data quality and swiftly flag, investigate and resolve any issues
- Perform budget variance analysis and provide appropriate commentary
- Manage VAT return submissions
- Support some group level activity
What you’ll need
We’re looking for a focused Management Accountant who is happy to roll up their sleeves and take on a hands-on role in crunching the numbers. To be considered, you’ll need:
- At least five years’ accounting experience
- Demonstrable experience of managing month end cycles
- Stock accounting experience gained in a manufacturing or contract manufacturing environment
- An accountancy qualification (or be in the process of working towards this)
It would be great if you have experience of playing a key role in an ERP system migration project, but this isn’t essential.
Other organisations may call this role Accountant, Qualified Accountant, Financial Accountant, Accounts Manager, or Accountancy Manager.
Those from an Accounts, Accounting, Accountancy, Finance or Financial background are also encouraged to apply.
Hours of work will generally be Monday – Friday, 9am – 5:30pm, but this may occasionally vary if we’re experiencing a high workload and need your expertise.
We want to be one of the fastest growing coffee companies in the world and seen as an exciting innovator with the ability to sell across multi-regions and multi-channels. If you think you can help us to achieve our dream, we want to hear from you.
