Job Description

As an Engineer will be required to undertake setting out of works, quality control and assist with management of a major design and build project within the water industry. You will work with other members of the Delivery Team, Design Team, CWA Operations, Commercial Team and Customer Team to deliver an installation on time and to cost and quality standards. You will report to the Project Manager as part of the Operations Team.

Key Accountabilities will include:

  • Delivery Planning
  • Technical & Quality Inputs
  • Health and Safety
  • Administrative Support
  • Liaise with the direct labor force and sub-contractors
  • Interact with customers/suppliers/third parties as necessary to determine requirements
  • Assist with promoting best practice within the contract and promoting the company to customers

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Educated to Degree level in an engineering or scientific discipline. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable. Knowledge and understanding of water industry/civil construction techniques and resource needs. Knowledge of Health and Safety related to the construction industry. Competent in the use of MS Office suite. Knowledge of temporary works. Confidence to deal with multi-disciplined teams. The ability to work within set timescales. Effective communication skills with the ability to share detailed data to a non-data literate audience. Able to work to tight deadlines, manage/priorities workloads, adapt and challenge, when necessary. A willingness to take on development opportunities as presented and contribute to successful delivery of projects.
