Job Description

Our client are currently looking for a Director-level Structural Engineer to be the divisional lead in that office. As a multi-disciplinary consultancy the role offers the opportunity to lead a variety of projects, spanning across a multitude of construction disciplines. A particular interest/background within building structures is preferable.
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 year’s experience working in the design of commercial and residential properties and must be Chartered with ICE , IStructE, CENG or SER .
Key Role Responsibilities:

• Assist Associate Director / Director in management of structural engineering team
• Independent management of projects / project team
• Financial responsibility for your own projects
• Preparation of fee quotations / Invoicing
• Management of staff and other consultants.
• Further develop the team of engineers and technicians.
• Working in collaboration with senior stakeholders and clients
• Attendance of leadership and strategy meetings
• Site visits
• Undertake structural surveys, investigation and repair schemes for structures from fires to foundation issues.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

5+ years of experience in a similar role. Chartered with ICE, IStructE,Ceng, SER. Experience of working on commercial and residential projects. Strong client liaison and management skills. Full UK Driving License. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels both internally and externally. Experienced in the design of foundations, masonry, concrete including detailing, steel and timber structures to us. Experience in the residential market including traditional construction as well as framed structures.
