Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our world class team. The purpose of this role is to deliver an excellent support and customer service to all Truck & Bus Centers and offices in the North & Scotland region on IT Infrastructure services. This role will require an element of travel between sites therefore a driving license is essential.
Key responsibilities:

  • Provide technical administration support and authorization of all local and group IT systems
  • Install and maintain IT hardware supporting all business activities, ensuring any downtime is kept to a minimum
  • Manage all change and fault events ensuring comprehensive and appropriate communication is delivered at all times
  • Early diagnosis and management of all fault issues to fix
  • Support efficient use of all mobile and wireless devices and services
  • Manage and facilitate third party suppliers
  • Co-ordinate and manage project IT/IS change activities with the business, in particular with business leaders
  • Assist and support the Dealer & Business Systems Manager to advise Truck Centre regions on IS/IT solution for all business processes
  • Advise and train users on how to get the most out of the tools and applications used within the region
  • Well-timed management of access and credential privileges to authorized regional users – providing cover for other regions when required
  • Participate and engage in group-wide change management processes and projects
  • Cascade IT updates and information to the North & Scotland business

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be considered for this position you must be degree qualified or have at least 5+ years’ relevant experience in an IT Infrastructure position. Experience within a multinational environment would be advantageous. Strong analytical and problem solving skills along with technical skills to solve issues with: PC hardware, LAN/WAN, structured cabling, printing, MS Office 365 & troubleshooting are crucial. You must have the capability to lead and influence people along with strong project management skills. You must be able to work in a multi-culture, multi-brand environment and demonstrate the passion and drive to deliver a professional service to stakeholders. Experience communicating with all levels in an organization is essential. You must be able to adapt your style and articulate methods of communication effectively dependent on the audience.
