Job Description

BIM Modeller / CAD Technician within the Scotland team. You will be tasked with working on practical engineering design solutions to meet our client’s needs.

In a typical week you will be tasked with:

• Provide technically sound CAD / BIM deliverables such as Infraworks and Revit models, steelwork drawings and reinforcement schedules.
• Assisting with design development and discipline coordination on major bridges and road schemes.
• Implementation of our Consulting CAD and BIM standards.
• Advising on and developing innovative digital engineering solutions.
• Contribute to the development of process automations and continuous improvement of application technology.
• Supervising the work of Technicians and undertaking quality reviews.
• Mentoring and assisting with the development of Technicians.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

HNC / HND / Foundation Degree in a relevant discipline. Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Infraworks, Navisworks and Revit. Experience in the detailing of steelwork and reinforced concrete structures. Good understanding of BIM Level 2 principals. Experience with bridges and civil structures within the roads industry. Experience of delivering competent civil engineering designs. Knowledge of current Eurocodes and DMRB standards. Ability to lead junior technicians. Focused on H&S with knowledge of CDM. Experience in Dynamo, Project wise and other BIM software such as Civil 3D and Inventor would be desirable.
