We are seeking an experienced civil/structural design engineer with a strong background in rail. You will be responsible for leading design projects, both technically and commercially.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills and be proficient at developing client relationships. You will be strong technically and will have experience of leading graduate engineers/technicians with experience in Design Management and Project Management. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of the Network Rail GRIP process and the Network Rail approvals process.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Achieved Chartered MICE and / or ChPP MAPM or working towards Project Management and Design Management experience. Experience of designing and delivering rail projects. Understanding of Network Rail’s GRIP process and Engineering Assurance procedures. Awareness of Network Rail standard construction details, particularly for platforms. Working knowledge of Network Rail’s procedures for safe working on site, including Work Package Plans and Task Briefing Sheets. Ability to commission, interpret and apply site surveys such as gauging and ground investigation.
