We have recently launched an exciting new project and are looking to appoint five qualified bookkeepers with previous practice experience. The ideal candidates will be confident and passionate individuals who are interested in working with clients to help them grow their businesses. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a growing reputable accountancy firm.
You will be an experienced and competent Bookkeeper who is able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for a high volume, diverse and complex range of bookkeeping accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Providing competent and efficient bookkeeping support in the office
Double entry bookkeeping including bank reconciliation of clients’ accounts mainly through Xero
Extraction of data from e-commerce platforms
Preparation of P&L accounts and balance sheets on a timely and accurate manner
Managing, organizing and updating relevant data using database applications
Communicating and liaising (verbally and in writing) with local and overseas clients / visitors / enquirers and colleagues
Interpreting and responding clearly and effectively to requests over the phone, in writing or in person, and to verbal or written instructions
Preparation of depreciation, accruals, prepayments, journals and any other relevant adjustments
Producing reports for clients for approval
Helping to prepare company accounts and sole trader accounts
VAT registrations
Completion and review of VAT returns & Intrastat reporting
Preparation of CIS reports
Adhering to proper accounting standards
Meeting deadlines and time targets
Advising managers of any outstanding issues
Maintaining a full and accurate audit trail by filing and referencing documents
Ensure a high level of service to meet clients' expectations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
AAT qualified. Track record as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant or experienced finance / accounts professional; Competent user of Xero and Sage. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience with IRIS Accountancy Suite preferable. Previous experience in an Accountancy practice. Strong interpersonal skills. Good time management skills. Strong work ethic. Tech savvy, with the confidence and ability to quickly pick up new systems. Experience: bookkeeping: 3 years (preferred).
