Job Description

Working alongside the Stock Finance Analyst you will be the link between Finance and Supply Chain / Imports operational teams.

You will drive business performance through insightful analysis and recommendations to help achieve high level of stock health in the business.

You’ll work collaboratively with supply chain and commercial teams on trading events to achieve the right balance of financial and operational benefit.

• Understand operational challenges of supply chain, logistics and commercial, and linking the areas through finance
• Work closely with commercial finance on clearance / trading events to understand the financial impact on the business and ensure alignment across functions /
• Have a detailed understanding of stock provisions and the impact they have on the P&L and Balance Sheet
• Help promote best practice stock health actions within supply chain in order to limit the need for financial provisioning of
• Responsible for ensuring monthly reporting is completed in a timely manner, supported by key stakeholders’ inputs and own workings.
• Preparation of monthly stock risk forecast and provide clear articulation to non-Finance stakeholders.
• Develop a network within company to help problem solving and brainstorming issues and opportunities.
• Assistance with answering auditor and investor relation questions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Highly numerate. Good Excel skills to enable the support of analysis of high volumes of data. Organized and methodical. Good analytical/problem solving skills within context of financial /procedural controls. Experience of Commercial Finance desirable. Suitable for Part-Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA). B&Q will support qualification training (financial and time for sitting exams).
