Job Description

Our client is a global operation with their HQ based in Basingstoke. They seek to hire an Assistant Group Accountant which will suit a progressive Part Qualified Accountant. This is a brand new role that will support the Group Accountant and Group Financial Controller with plenty of opportunity to gain new skills and develop.
Responsibilities will be broad:

• Assisting the Group Financial Accountant in the preparation of year end group consolidated statutory accounts for limited companies and the collation of financial information for the preparation of corporate tax returns (2 entities)
• Taking ownership in the preparation of year end statutory accounts for limited companies and the collation of financial information for the preparation of corporate tax returns (6 entities)
• Assisting in the year end audit process e.g. preparing auditor schedules, sourcing underlying documentation to support auditor information requests etc.
• Monthly head office accounting including journal postings, prepayments, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting in preparing the group consolidated monthly management accounts and reconciliation of group intercompany balances at month end
• Supporting the Group Financial Controller and the Group Financial Accountant with other ad-hoc finance projects as required e.g. new ERP implementation project

A salary of £30,000 is on offer plus study and benefits.
