Job Description

Lead a small team to help drive the transformation of accounting systems introduced by Making Tax Digital - a key change programme.

Working with the other accountants in the wider team to provide expert technical accountancy advice to associated teams, including the project and accounts production teams.

- a professional CCAB qualification in accountancy e.g. CIPFA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA
- demonstrable strong track record, with a high level of experience of delivery in an accountancy role
- experience of working with modern accounting IT systems;
- a solid understanding of accounting standards;
- experience in accounts preparation;
- the ability to communicate with different partners and report writing skills;
- the ability and experience to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical partners;
- experience of dealing with multiple partners across the business.

Desirable criteria

- Good IT skills (WORD and Excel skills)
- Experience of using SAP;
- Experience of IT systems development;
- Experience of accounts preparation
- Public sector finance experience.
- Experience in leading and managing a team Qualifications Full Professional Accountancy qualification e.g.:
