The role has responsibility for working closely with the CEO/Finance Director to manage the company accounts in a timely and efficient manner. Duties include.
Ensuring that financial report preparation is completed on time and always accurate
Assisting with preparing of annual statutory financial statements
Assisting in the organizing and completing the year end statutory audit and liaising externally with regards to the audit process
Have confidence that the function is abiding to FCA requirements in relation to financial compliance
Assisting with preparation of financial budgets and reporting and monitoring thereon monthly
Assisting with the implementation of the department’s objectives that underpin the overall company financial strategy
Continually reviewing activities within the function ensuring outcomes are in line with Corporate Governance expectations
Regulating company and departmental policies and procedures
Assisting with determining the monitoring and control criteria required for efficient and accurate reporting, ensuring that the departmental internal controls are effective
Collaborating and effectively communicating with senior managers across the organization ensuring positive decision making
Attending and participating at Company Senior Management meetings and other strategic meetings as required
Having the assurance that all company policy and procedures in relation to data laws and legislations are adhered to
Supervising the team
The role is paying £65000 - £75000 dependent upon experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The role requires a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a sold background in a similar role. A minimum of 2 years of financial services experience is essential. The role is based in Andover but there will be flexibility with working from home.
