The purpose of this role is to help partner the senior business leaders and provide comprehensive financial support, data analysis and direction for growth and profitability. An integral part of this will be to lead and manage the day to day finance activities.
The key responsibilities for the Financial Account will be:
* Building and developing the Group's overall financial protocols.
* Overall responsibility for the preparation of monthly management information, year-end returns, VAT and tax returns, payroll, pension submissions, debtors and all surrounding filing / submissions
* Ensuring all regulatory filings and statutory returns are completed in an accurate, timely manner.
* Preparation and ongoing monitoring of the annual budget, monthly and quarterly managements accounts; with relevant analysis, observations and recommendations
* Analysis of monthly accounts to produce meaningful and accurate financial reports
* Maintain the development of the annual cash flow forecasts, modelling new opportunities and potential threats to highlight exceptions and variances along with mitigation plans for adverse impacts, identification of cost savings and efficiency gains
* Update Sales Dashboard Information, provide ad-hoc MI and analysis to leadership team/Project Managers
* Trial Balance and P & L review with the Operations Director at month end to ensure all accruals, prepayments and postings have been made
* Management of all operating expenses; ensuring spends comply with company policies and budgets, conducting variance analysis and reporting.
* Liaise with accountants at Year End to ensure company accounts are compliant with relevant reporting requirements and legislation.
* Design and implement an internal audit programme to ensure governance and financial risk is managed effectively.
* Drive continued improvement, standardisation and automation of reporting & processes.
