Management Accountant - Nottingham - £40,000 - £48,000

Chase & Holland are excited to be working with a well-known manufacturing business based north of Nottingham. Reporting to the Financial Controller this is a great opportunity for a strong Qualified Management Accountant with experience of working in a manufacturing environment. You will be providing an effective cost and management accounting and information service and to ensure that accurate and timely accounting information is provided to the business. You will be expected to pro-actively work with other departments to reduce costs / improve productivity & systems.

Management Accountant Responsibilities:

· Assistance with monthly management accounts production, to tight deadlines, including sales reconciliation, prepayments, accruals, analysis work, project costs and production of management accounts packs for the senior management team.

· Improvement in performance reporting, improvements to daily P&L statements

· Maintaining and developing the monthly and quarterly forecasting model

· Produce weekly Battleplan, including variance, gross margin and inventory analysis

· Liaising with heads of departments to ensure that the business is working to plan and budget.

· Working with the Cost Accountant to carry out standard costing

· Fixed Assets work including physical audit, tagging, reconciliation to AssetPro and analysis of expenditure.

· Assistance with Sarbanes Oxley quarterly and annual procedures - as required

Hours:

· Full-time, Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00 Friday finish at 13:00

Required Skills & Experience:

· The right candidate will need to be qualified (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)

· Must have experience of working as a management accountant in a manufacturing environment ideally with an American owned business

· Good communication and IT skills (including strong Ms Excel) will also be important for you to succeed
