Job Description

This is a key role supporting the Financial Controller and you must have a high level of interpersonal skills as you will be required to interact with Stakeholders.

Key duties


  • Daily usage of financial processes
  • Identifying improvements and enhancements to processes and implementing as required upon consultation
  • Maintaining accounts accruals and prepayments through journal
  • Balancing accounts on a day-to-day or week-to-week basis inclusive of bank reconciliations
  • Preparing schedules, statements and reports as requested
  • Managing & filing relevant documentation
  • Complete VAT returns
  • Ownership & administration of ‘One Card’ process and scheme
  • Deliver on HMRC reporting
  • Validation of data to ensure robustness and accuracy
  • Manage month end processes reporting to the Financial Controller, progressing to 1-2-1 monthly budget holder analysis
  • Prepare relevant data for and produce prelim monthly management accounts including results/variance analysis
  • Support budgeting and forecasting process, including variances
  • Maintain good working partnerships with Senior Management Team
