Job Description

You will work effectively with the wider staff team, other professionals such as social care, the police and health professionals in order to reduce the risk for victims and act as the voice of the victim within the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference

You must also give advice/training to other health professionals at the hospital to be able to recognise domestic abuse and how to respond.

Please note that if you are successful in this role, they will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
It is essential that you have an IDVA qualification or Women’s Aid occupational standards qualification. You must have experience of working with victims of domestic abuse as well as working in a multi-agency environment. You will also have experience of working with B.M.E. clients who are victims of domestic abuse. You must have an understanding of legal remedies for victims of domestic abuse and be able to advocate on behalf of a client. It is essential that you have a willing and flexible approach and be able to work as part of a team or alone. You must also be able to work unsocial hours and be willing to undertake further training as and when required.
