This is a key role supporting the Financial Controller and you must have a high level of interpersonal skills as you will be required to interact with Stakeholders.
Key duties
Daily usage of financial processes
Identifying improvements and enhancements to processes and implementing as required upon consultation
Maintaining accounts accruals and prepayments through journal
Balancing accounts on a day-to-day or week-to-week basis inclusive of bank reconciliations
Preparing schedules, statements and reports as requested
Managing & filing relevant documentation
Complete VAT returns
Ownership & administration of ‘One Card’ process and scheme
Deliver on HMRC reporting
Validation of data to ensure robustness and accuracy
Manage month end processes reporting to the Financial Controller, progressing to 1-2-1 monthly budget holder analysis
Prepare relevant data for and produce prelim monthly management accounts including results/variance analysis
Support budgeting and forecasting process, including variances
Maintain good working partnerships with Senior Management Team
