Overseeing the operations of the Accounting department
Contributing to the achievement of business goals by providing advice and guidance on the financial strategy and growth for the department
Management and supervision of a number of staff including
Providing upper-level strategic analysis
Developing with autonomy the annual operations budget to meet financial targets and ensure statutory regulations complied with
Overseeing the preparation of the company's financial accounts to ensure that these are presented accurately and on time.
Collaborating and managing relationships and liaison with internal and external stakeholders
Developing and maintaining systems, policies, work flows and procedures for effective and efficient running of the department
Performing necessary actions to allow financial and legal obligations are met.
Producing and reviewing financial statements and reports for clients
Providing advisory and consultancy services to clients

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful candidate will: Be a qualified accountant (preferably ACCA/ACA/CTA with a background in Practice). Have prior experience working as a line manager within a busy and effective finance department. Demonstrate a proven track record of experience in supervising, leading and coaching a team. Show excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices, whilst understanding business commercials and growth strategies. Possess excellent systems experience including proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate level such as pivot tables and v look ups), Word, and PowerPoint.
