Job Description

The role reports directly to the Finance Director with management responsibility for a small team. Duties will include.

• Overseeing and supporting the production of the monthly management accounts including, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements
• Producing and filing annual Statutory Accounts in liaison with the appointed auditors and work on tax liabilities with the auditors
• Supporting the Finance Director with budgeting and forecasting
• Sales analysis & margin reporting
• Providing support to the business with regards to analysis, reporting and interpretation of accounts and variances
• Analyzing and reporting account performance against budget – liaising with Sales/Account Managers
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual tax and VAT

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

This is a broad, varied role that requires a qualified Accountant with sound experience in a similar role. Experience of the production of management accounts is essential, and there is a strong emphasis on sales analysis and creating reports to review sales by category so experience in this area is key. This role requires someone with a hands-on approach, happy to roll their sleeves up and work as part of a team. Strong communication skills are also required, and the ability to liaise confidently throughout the business and supporting effectively from a finance perspective providing insight. The salary is dependent upon experience.
